The Wainwright Associates team comprises highly qualified consultants who all have a research and development background and can offer both scientific and regulatory advice.  Their scientific discipline expertise includes chemistry, pharmacy, microbiology, pharmacology, toxicology, medicine, clinical research and statistics.  Whatever your therapeutic area, it is probable that we have consultants who can support you.

Our core team of project managers and consultants is based in the UK, but we also have a global network of advisors located in over 60 countries worldwide including emerging markets. 

Wainwright Associates was formed in January 1999, is independent and privately owned by its two principals.

Dr Chris Wainwright BPharm PhD CChem FRSC MRPharmS FTOPRA – Chairman & Managing Director
Chris has over 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.  He started as an analytical chemist and moved to regulatory affairs, joining the contract research business in 1982.

The combination of a pharmacy qualification, a PhD in synthetic organic chemistry and substantial regulatory expertise make Chris a leading chemistry and pharmacy expert. 

Penelope Wainwright – Director & Company Secretary
Penelope began working in the civil service but after having a family she decided to change career path. In 1985 she joined the Finance Department of a Clinical Research Organisation where she became Company Secretary and Financial Controller.  She has also worked for a leading regulatory affairs journal.
