Braille Deadline Approaches

The transitional period for the labelling of medicines will end on 30 October 2010.  By this date, all medicines must comply with the full provisions of Directive 2001/83 as amended, which includes the name displayed in Braille on the packaging.  For products already the subject of a Marketing Authorisation the labelling changes must have been authorised and implemented by the 30 October deadline.
