Joint MHRA & NICE Scientific Advice

A new pilot scheme started in March 2010 in which parallel scientific advice is given by the UK Medicines & Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) and the National Institute for Health & Clinical Excellence (NICE).  The scheme allows companies for the first time to obtain guidance on their clinical development plan from the MHRA in terms of regulatory acceptability and from NICE from a cost/benefit perspective.
