Reminder: Deadline for registration of traditional herbal medicinal products is 30th April 2011

The date for the implementation of European Directive 2004/24/EC (establishing a simplified pathway for the marketing of traditional herbal medicinal products) is fast approaching.

Under transitional arrangements, unlicensed manufactured herbal medicines already on the market in the UK when Directive 2004/24/EC came into force, have until 30th April 2011 to comply with the requirements of the Directive, or alternatively must hold a marketing authorisation.
